Appraisals and Sales
Simply call or email to request more information on the services we offer -- or to set up a visit. Remember, we will come directly to your home and do all of the work for you, so you need not worry about transporting your valuables. We discuss the scope of your collection before appraising.

APPRAISALS ~$50/hr
A collection appraisal includes the evaluation and identification of every piece in your collection. All coins, currency, precious metals, and other collection components will be accurately identified, graded for condition, put into holders (as necessary), and have their values determined. No collection too small!
In the end, you will be presented with a typed appraisal detailing each item in the collection (this can include dates, conditions, mintages, values, metal contents), as well as a final monetary value of the complete collection. The appraisal report will be broken down into sections, so you will be able to easilly see the allocation of value within the collection. All appraisals are $50 per hour (+3% value charge OR +2% if over $10,000). Payment may be taken in coins if desired. Scroll below for the LONG DISTANCE TELEPHONE APPRAISAL.
SALES ~9% commission
Collections over $10,000 only 8%!After your collection, inheritance, or horde has been appraised, we will advise you on how to best sell your collection if you are interested in doing so. If appropriate, we can sell your collection (in part or in whole), usually through online auction listings.
We can get you the most for your money by determining how to best sell the collection (in lots, as one piece, or piece by piece), and by earning you at least spot market price on coins with precious metal contents.

What makes our appraisal unique?
While there are hundreds of dealers that will evaluate your collection, the values they assign are biased in that they are an offer to buy your collectibes. Dealers need to make a profit, of course, so what they will pay is less than what your collection would go for in an open marketplace (where we sell material).
While anyone can buy a coin book and write down values, no one without our experience can acurately grade a coin, identify a special rarity that books do not list, or assign a realistic value to the collection. Fortunately,we can.
